Most recently, we have moved the rapid survey of the forests to Rossendale where twelve vaccaries and a deer park are known to have existed.  The surveys of the other three forests produced three distinct designs of vaccary enclosure and we are now testing the theory that these types are also present in the steeper landscapes of Rossendale.
